At the 27th Nobesity Support Group Meeting held on 21st October, expert physiotherapist Dr. Raj Shekhawat shared valuable insights on how exercise and correct posture can help keep the pain at bay.
Dr. Shekhawat not only shared tips on corrective measures to improve posture but also gave the audience suggestions on how to prevent the onset of back pain by muscle strengthening exercises.
The doctor explained how some common mistakes result in back pain and how they can be easily mitigated. He also spoke of various exercises that can help ease the pain as well as strengthen the muscles.
He also addressed some of the concerns of the patients through a Q&A at the end along with Dr Manish Khaitan, Director, Nobesity.
This support group was also an excellent opportunity for those considering bariatric surgery to meet 50 patients who have undergone the procedure.
